The new season of Signora Volpe is here!
June 24, 2024The second season of the Acorn TV crime drama Signora Volpe returned for Season Two on Monday, July 29 on Acorn TV with a co-premiere on BBC America, starring Emilia Fox as the former British spy Sylvia Fox. Season 2 sees Sylvia’s love affair with Italy and the Carabinieri Captain Giovanni Riva grow, as she finds herself once again embroiled in the mysteries hiding within the idyllic mediaeval town of Panicale. Now invested in the local life, Sylvia faces a murder and blackmail plot involving pillars of the community; resulting in undercover escapades, revenge schemes, and a race to save her life.

Produced by Route 24, Season 2 will consist of 3, 90-minute episodes filmed in the Lazio and Umbria regions of Italy. Tara Fitzgerald, Giovanni Cirfiera, Matteo Carlomagno, Imma Piro and Elena Di Cioccio will also star, as well as Nicholas Farrell appearing as a mystery guest.
Signora Volpe is created by Rachel Cuperman and Sally Griffiths, who are executive producers with Emilia Fox, Marc Samuelson and Josie Law for Route 24, Catherine Mackin and Bea Tammer for Acorn Media Enterprises, Simon Cox for Banijay Rights (distributing internationally), and Cristina Giubbetti for Cattleya (providing Italian production services). This season is directed by Bindu de Stoppani and Declan Recks, and produced by Candida Julian-Jones.
We thoroughly enjoyed working on Signora Volpe once again, with a returning team of Andy Lee bringing out the warm Italian sun in the grade, Andy Coles as sound supervisor for the sounds of summer, and Adam Sample bringing together mystery, danger, and romance in the online, all overseen by Senior Post Producer Joana Coelho.
