Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar, starring Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi, available on Prime Video and Virgin
November 11, 2022Niall Horan left his hometown of Mullingar at 16 to join one of the biggest boybands of all time. Now, 12 years later, Niall is coming home – and he’s bringing his best friend Lewis Capaldi along for the ride. In this exclusive film, the two global superstars embark on an epic Irish road trip, inspired by Niall’s desire to revisit and reconnect with all that he loves of home.
Directed by Kevin Batchelor, the film captures adventure, friendship, storytelling, talent and non-stop laughter, while celebrating modern Irish culture through the lens of two global superstars who have an authentic connection to Ireland. On their journey Niall and Lewis meet world class guitar maker George Lowden, up and coming Irish artist Tolu Makay, as well as local Dublin busker, Jacob Koopman. The pair wrap up their travels with a once in a lifetime gig in Mullingar.
Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar is Produced by Electric Robin, with Sam Bendel as Series Producer and Ross Brandon, Joss Crowley and Kevin Batchelor as Executive Producers and Matt Lench as Co-executive Producer. OnSight’s Cem Kilinchan oversaw the project as Post Producer with finishing artist Garry Maddison completing the grade and online and Andy Coles supervised the sound.
