As one of the few IMAX recording facilities outside of the USA, RPS Film Imaging offers a highly specialised and unique service, capable of recording at levels up to 8K IMAX resolution.
So when the HDCAM SR tape of the latest Ford Focus commercial was sent to RPS for IMAX conversion and was found to be not up to scratch, RPS technical director Simon Burley knew he had a problem.

The HD LAB's encoding operation, is an area of the business that has grown rapidly thanks to an explosion in the range of different media formats – from Standard Definition TV to HD and Blu-ray, as well as for mobile and web-based video applications.
“People come to us because encoding requires specialist equipment and the technical experience to achieve high quality results, and our SAN has capture cards which give us the capacity to do encoding with large files,” says On Sight facilities manager Tony Maher.

Finding Take That's best qualities

Take That's Beautiful World Live DVD was the result of a two day shoot at the O2 Arena in Docklands, at the culmination of the group’s national tour last December.
The group wanted this DVD to look different from the pace of their last production, recalls director Matt Askew, who has worked with the band on their last two tours.
