Adidas Originals are out of this world

Adidas Originals have just sneaked a teaser of their latest promo, featuring a collaboration with Star Wars, onto YouTube. Nima Nourizadeh of Partizan (named by Campaign as the top production company of 2009) shot the piece on film and HD.

His first commercial, fittingly, was for the hugely exciting House Party for adidas Originals, which celebrated 60 years of the sports brand. The film, which Nima shot in Los Angeles, featured Missy Elliott, Russell Simmons, David Beckham, Method Man, Redman, DMC, Kevin Garnet, Estelle, Katy Perry, the Ting Tings and many others.

James Cameron's 3D vision

One of the most eagerly awaited films is now out in screens across the globe. Avatar, the monumental sci-fi epic by James Cameron, is a film destined to be even bigger than his previous effort, Titanic. 

The 3D world of Avatar was conceived by Cameron 15 years ago and has been in production for more than four-and-a-half years, with its ground-breaking technology making it the most expensive film ever made.

15 RED cameras used for AC/DC in Buenos Aires

Rock legends AC/DC have just completed 3 nights playing at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires to sell out crowds. Serpent Productions were there to catch the action using 20 HD cameras, including 15 REDs.

We have a long history with Serpent Productions so when director David Mallet decided to shoot the live show in Argentina using multiple RED cameras this month, On Sight was the natural choice to turn to.

Essential high definition Christmas viewing

Be sure to catch the epic two-part drama starring Dougray Scott, Joely Richardson, Brian Cox, Vanessa Redgrave, Eddie Izzard and Jason Priestley this Christmas. "The Day of the Triffids" is a new version of the sci-fi classic and will be simulcast on the BBC HD channel (available through Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media) this December.

Based on John Wyndham's best selling post-apocalyptic novel published in 1951, this epic and futuristic drama is a co-production between Power and Canadian producer Prodigy Pictures for the BBC and was shot on two Sony F35 cameras.

Peter & the Wolf - Live on Stage

After it's sold out debut earlier in this year, the stunningly beautiful Oscar winning film Peter & the Wolf from Breakthru Films returns this December, with live music from the Philharmonia Orchestra and a newly commissioned script by renowned poet Simon Armitage.

Taking place at the Royal Festival Hall (Southbank Centre, SE1) from the 28th to the 30th December, this is perfect for introducing children to the orchestra as well as getting the chance to peek inside models of the original film set. Free workshops run on the 28th and 29th December in the Clore Ballroom.
