Mon 17 ONSIGHT helps pull Little Crackers together

17th December, 2012

The award-winning Little Crackers is back with a third series for Sky.  The autobiographical shorts feature a new line-up of top British names, including Alison Steadman, Caroline Quentin and Paul O'Grady.  These comedy dramas are ideal for the festive season and ONSIGHT is pleased to be involved in the production facilities.

Working with a number of established production companies, the ONSIGHT team provided shoot to post services on five out of the twelve films.  The 3D offering introduced this year applied to three projects, carefully selected by recognising what story would be truly enhanced by the added dimension.  Sony provided the cameras, and given our extensive experience in 3D, we supported the shoot.  ONSIGHT's Lab & Post oversaw the post production stages from dailies to the grade and finishing with both 3D and 2D deliverables.

ONSIGHT provided a comprehensive picture and post service for the 3D productions as well as the two projects in 2D.  Our staff assisted the edit, managing rushes, posting dailies and preparing the Avid files.  Each production was offlined using Avid systems at our Soho offices with the respective Directors.  We later provided a full post service, involving our team of Colourists, plus audio where required.

The five shorts:

Alison Steadman's Little Cracker: The Autograph - Sprout Pictures

Caroline Quentin's Little Cracker: Nutcracker - Bwark Productions

Jason Manford's Little Cracker: A Tender Christmas (3D) - LEFT BANK Pictures

Paul O'Grady's Little Cracker: Boo! (3D) - Sprout Pictures

Sharon Horgan's Little Cracker: The Week Before Christmas (3D) - Bwark Productions

2012's Little Crackers started on 10 December for two weeks.  It is broadcasted on Sky 1 HD and Sky 3D, including a behind the scene documentary about the making of each film.
