3D rocks with The Prince's Trust

ONSIGHT's Lab & Post team provided stereoscopic post production services including 3D offline suites and 3D Mistika for mastering for the star-studded line up in this 3DD / Nineteen Fifteen production. 

The music extravaganza, which was filmed in 3D, was be hosted by comedians Rob Brydon and Barry Humphries as Dame Edna Everage, took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall, on Wednesday 17 November.

The line-up of music legends performing included Phil Collins, Eric Clapton, Mike & The Mechanics, Alison Moyet and Tom Jones.

The Rock Galas of the 80’s were formed when the UK economy was gripped by inflation, strikes and high unemployment following recession. Britain’s youth had little hope and no future. The Trust called upon supporters including Phil Collins, Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Brian May and Tina Turner to form ‘super groups’, raising money to help the most disadvantaged young people.

Rock Gala 2010 will be broadcast on Sunday 19 December 2010 on Sky's 3D channel.

“We are thrilled to have the support of ambassadors like Brian May and Jools Holland,” says Martina Milburn, Chief Executive of The Prince’s Trust. “The money raised will allow us to make massive changes to the lives of thousands of young people during a very difficult time”.

The Prince’s Trust Rock Gala 2010 will be screened on Sky 3D December 19th and Sky Arts December 31st.
