Mr Stink and The London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony: Isle of Wonder nominated for BAFTA Television Awards

Congratulations to our clients at the BBC and Done & Dusted! Both companies are in the running for a British Academy Television Award.

Mr Stink, based on David Walliams' best-selling children's book, has been nominated for Best Comedy Programme - BBC Productions / BBC One. ONSIGHT is proud to have provided full 3D and 2D camera and post production solutions, particularly as the commission was the BBC's first 3D scripted programme. ONSIGHT presents The Pavement Psychologist from Sprout Pictures

The second season of Playhouse Presents starts this month and The Pavement Psychologist is one of the new plays in this acclaimed comedy and drama strand.

It is written by leading actor Idris Elba and is also his directorial debut.  ONSIGHT was thrilled to support Production, led by Sprout Pictures, through the entire production process from the cameras through to post.

ONSIGHT helps show you How To Win The Grand National

Ahead of this year's Grand National on Saturday 6 April, Channel 4 is broadcasting a special programme on what it takes to win this ultimate challenge in horse racing - How To Win The Grand National.

Marc Evans explores what sets the winner apart from the rest, referring to both the jockeys' experiences and the biology of the horses.  Directed by Tom Mustill, this scientific look includes demonstrations, such as horses leaping over cars, while documenting the event's history.

Jonathan Creek and ONSIGHT reunite

This week saw Jonathan Creek return to our screens.  The Clue of The Savant’s Thumb was a feature-length special, broadcasted on BBC One during the Easter Bank Holiday.  The murder mystery pulled in an impressive 7 million viewers in the 9PM slot.

Alan Davies and Sheridan Smith reprised their well known roles, this time investigating how a body vanished from a room without a trace with incidents surrounding a secret society and a girls' boarding school.  Special guest appearances were made by Nigel Planer, Joanna Lumley and Rik Mayall.

Kingdom of Plants 3D nominated for BAFTA Craft Award & Televisual's Bulldog Awards

ONSIGHT is delighted to learn that Kingdom of Plants 3D has been nominated as part of the British Academy Television Craft Awards 2013. They recognise television’s top technical and behind-the-scenes talent.

Kingdom of Plants 3D is in the Best Photography – Factual category going to Tim Cragg, Robert Hollingworth and Tim Shepherd.  Produced by Atlantic Productions, the groundbreaking natural history documentary series is written and presented by David Attenborough for Sky.  ONSIGHT played an integral role by providing both the camera and post production facilities.  Our story can be read here.
