On Sight’s reputation in HD quality control and conversions now has an international reach. South African production company Aquavision Wildlife Filmmakers is just the latest to benefit.
With a progressing level of formats to choose from in the fast-developing HD marketplace it’s no surprise that broadcasters are setting increasingly stringent benchmarks of HD quality for producers to meet.

Being an Apple Solutions Expert and an early adopter of Final Cut Pro for HD broadcast work, On Sight's HD LAB was possibly the first professional facility to use Final Cut Pro as a HD editing platform.
Final Cut Studio 2 is now used for HD conforming. Due to a surge in demand for HD FCP projects, On Sight has been exploring ways in which to improve efficiency, ensuring that it can cater for the increasingly complex needs of clients.

Eagle Rock have announced a deal with On Sight's technical facility, the HD LAB, to manage and distribute it's entire programme catalogue.
Eagle Rock is one of the UK's leading distributors, specialising in the production and distribution of music and entertainment programming. On Sight's HD LAB will be providing Library management, quality assessment and technical re-versioning for the entire SD and HD catalogues.

As one of the few IMAX recording facilities outside of the USA, RPS Film Imaging offers a highly specialised and unique service, capable of recording at levels up to 8K IMAX resolution.
So when the HDCAM SR tape of the latest Ford Focus commercial was sent to RPS for IMAX conversion and was found to be not up to scratch, RPS technical director Simon Burley knew he had a problem.
